Santiago has representative experience in corporate matters, mergers and acquisitions and commercial negotiation, as well as in litigation and arbitration in different areas, including contractual and corporate conflicts, compensation matters, construction, public works concessions, real estate disputes, and general and municipal administrative matters.

Prior to founding Montt Pérez-Cotapos Abogados, Santiago was part of the corporate / mergers & acquisitions practice of Carey from 2007 to 2012. During 2012 he served as a legal advisor in the Municipality of Pirque, after which he returned to Carey to integrate its litigation and arbitration practice, until year 2019.

He is a member of the Chilean Bar.

Sebastián has more than 11 years of experience working at prestigious law firms and corporations, both local and international, focusing his practice on corporate matters, mergers and acquisitions, purchase and sale of assets, development and financing of energy and mining projects, shareholders´ agreements, joint ventures, investment funds, venture capital and corporate reorganizations.

Prior to founding Montt Pérez-Cotapos Abogados, Sebastián worked as in-house senior attorney at AES Gener S.A., principal associate at Philippi Prietocarrizosa Ferrero DU & Uría, and, during 2013, as foreign associate at Freshfields Bruckhaus & Deringer (Paris).

Sergio has almost two decades of experience working in national law firms and in banking, developing his practice in real estate, financing, corporate, transportation and logistics, mergers and acquisitions, purchase and sale of assets, development and financing of investment projects. Real estate construction and development, shareholder agreements, joint ventures and structuring of family groups.

EXPERIENCE

Before joining Montt Pérez-Cotapos Abogados, Sergio worked as lawyer in the Office of the Attorney General of Banco Santander (2006-2007), associate at Guerrero & Olivos (2008-2009), senior associate at Palma law firm (2009 -2018) and as partner at the Palma law firm (2018-2024).

Alejandro has extensive experience advising various companies in the natural
resources area on their projects in Chile and abroad. His practice focuses on energy, mining, environmental, natural resources, project development, mergers and acquisitions and corporate practice. In addition, he has served as advisor to the Minister of Mining of Chile, participating in the drafting of bills and in various
government initiatives.

EXPERIENCE

Prior to joining Montt Pérez-Cotapos Abogados, Alejandro served as Director of
the Energy and Mining area of Albagli Zaliasnik, partner of Dalgalarrando & Cía., Legal Manager of Sierra Gorda SCM, associate of Carey & Cía., foreign attorney of Haynes & Boone (Dallas, TX) and as advisor to the Minister of Mining of Chile.
